How to Homeschool Confidently & Unpacking Homeschool Uncertainty

Often, while homeschooling, anxiety sets in for us parent-teachers.  We doubt.  We complicate.  We overthink, rationalize, get emotional, and generally overwhelm ourselves.  So first, if you’ve been there, are there, or will be there, know that you are not alone.

There is one distinct reason that I think so many homeschool moms experience anxiety and uncertainty:

The Rules Have Changed.

In this video unpacking homeschool uncertainty, I’ll talk about 4 rules that have changed.  We are used to operating in the world one way, but when we start homeschooling, those paradigms simply don’t work anymore.  This can make us feel ungrounded and uncertain.

Use the 3 questions I offer in the video to start your journey away from homeschool uncertainty, and toward homeschool confidence.

Growth Mindset for Us Big People

I think that as adults, we can work on our own growth mindset.  Not only will it help us adapt and achieve more as individuals, but it will also allow us to better nurture and model a growth mindset for our kiddos.

A growth mindset refers to the belief that people can achieve what they set out to do if they stay positive and persevere.  This mindset has been linked to success and happiness, and can help re-frame even failures and disappointments into opportunities to get stronger, or wiser.

The best book I have found for adults to nurture their own growth mindset is How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big by Scott Adams (affiliate link).
